Meet the Director
Lauren Lux
Mrs. Lux is a 4th grade teacher at Pinecrest Inspirada. In addition to teaching elementary school, she is a professional singer and actress with 20 years of experience, a musical theater teacher, director, and voiceover artist. Mrs. Lux graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Theater and Performance Studies. She later went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education. She has taught elementary school for 16 years, is a California and Nevada Certified Teacher, and a Pinecrest Academy Master Teacher.
Mrs. Lux’s professional theater credits include playing the lead role of Snow White in Beach Blanket Babylon, the longest running musical review in history. Mrs. Lux also played the leading role of Woman #1 in the New York touring production of, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. She has performed with Center Repertory Company, Weathervane Repertory, Woodminster Amphitheater, Diablo Light Opera Company, Contra Costa Musical Theater, and many more regional theater companies across the nation. Favorite roles include Lilly St. Regis in Annie, Adelaid in Guys and Dolls, Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly, and MIllie in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Professional voice over credits include work for Leap Frog, Mattel Toys, Yahoo!, and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot. She has toured the country with her and her husband’s multimedia production company as Alice in DLUX Puppets’ Wonderland and Wendy inDLUX Puppets’ Peter Pan. Mrs. Lux has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actors’ Equity Association and co-founded Studio E in Los Angeles, teaching acting and performing arts skills to children and teens. She co-created, co-produces, and stars in the Las Vegas resident production Wonderland. Mrs. Lux is so excited to be bringing her love of musical theater to Pinecrest Inspirada!
